New Book Published: Prediction Markets: Know the Future, Prepare for the Future

Seiryu Ando of the Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University, has published the Japanese-language book Prediction Markets: Know the Future, Prepare for the Future. It is now available on Amazon Kindle.

The book examines prediction markets as institutions for both learning about the future and preparing for it. It discusses how market prices should be interpreted as probabilities, when forecasting and hedging can coexist, how liquidity and fairness can be protected, and what would be required to establish prediction markets in Japan.
